About me
I love children's literature. I write it, critique it, and have a deep passion for reading both silly and sublime works of fiction and nonfiction for tiny humans. When my kids were little, I read a squillion picture books to them and blame them, and my work at a children’s bookstore, for my ever-expanding collection of picture books. In addition to writing for children, I write award-winning essays. You may read them by following the links on the "Publications" tab. By day I teach literacy skills to superhero kids and adults with dyslexia.

I live in Louisville, KY with my husband, two teens, and two rescue pups. Our 100-year-old house is covered in dog hair.
